Polling the Polsters; evidence or entertainment

Polls have not had a good decade. And now in 2020 a reportedly unassailable lead in the polls resulted in a minute number of voters (<100,000 in total out of 145 million) in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania turning the tide… 0.05% of the total US electorate made the difference. So are polls factual information or fictional entertainment?

The Guardian reports; Voting in Indonesia’s presidential election has finished with both sides claiming  an early victory and a messy couple of weeks in the offing.
